These are the books about minimalism that have had the greatest impact on my life:
SOULFUL SIMPLICITY by Courtney Carver
If you are only going to read one book on minimalism, read this one.
Courtney’s blog Be More With Less has been a favourite place to find inspiration for simplifying my life, and her book delivers the same life wisdom. A book to read again and again.
Courtney Carver is also the founder of Project 333, a challenge to live with 33 items in your wardrobe for 3 months. A fun excercise, and worth trying. You’ll be surprised at how the process changes more your wardrobe.
THE YEAR OF LESS How I stopped shopping, gave away all my belongings and discovered life is worth more than anything you can buy in a store by Cait Flanders
A truly honest and humble account of the author’s process. Cait blogged about her path to becoming debt free, and the book is about her journey to stop shopping. So very worth reading even if you are not struggling with debt. It certainly taught me a thing or two about the way I use shopping to reward myself and to soothe difficult emotions.
THE LIFE CHANGING MAGIC OF TIDYING UP: The Japanese way of decluttering and organizing by Marie Kondo
You may know her from the Netflix series, but like in so many other cases, the book is so much more than the TV series can be.
